So we're not sure what qualifies Leonard Nimoy to be an expert on this subject, but, we fully support feminist concepts, especially when negative stereotypes and cultural biases are put into question. So we're going with it. Especially considering Mr. Nimoy seems to have really tamed his raging machismo since his space-traveling days, as evidenced by the disturbing image seen at left. We commend him for growing as a person, and as a Vulcan. Tomorrow......

This week, Phillyist saw the waters of a landmark fountain run red for a Showtime marketing stunt, the Phils pull ahead, and some serious nostalgia. They also got a chance to review an awesome tribute album, reminded folks to see the King and appreciated their beautiful skyline. Chicagoist knows what it's like to like the Cubs. But naming your kid Wrigley Fields? At least they can breathe a little easier now that Grossman's out and......

LAist is experimenting with blogging dates from J-Date, but finds the best men are found offline. Some date vicariously online and that is one reason why porn is big -- really freaking big -- so they ask if they should cover XXX since the heart of it lays in the city's San Fernando Valley. A writer grapples with her food porn photography obsession, another gets censored on Flickr, one gets scooped by the LA......

If Houstonist ever decides to retire from the blogging business, we think we might spend the rest of our days compiling books of life rules we've learned from watching the news in Houston. You know, like if you're carrying two tons of pot, make sure all the lights on your vehicle are in working order and if you're looking for a lost dog, don't look in Pearland. And today, we can add another: If you......

It’s one of those “you’ve got to be kidding” stories. An elementary school teacher has been put on probation because she took her fifth grade students to an art museum, and guess what – they saw naked paintings and sculptures! The school approved the field trip to the Dallas Museum of Art and parents signed-off on it, too. However, after the trip, some parents got word that their children saw nude artwork, and that’s when......

Despite early reports of a possible connection between a man arrested in connection with raping a woman and a possible serial killer stalking women in the Acres Homes area, police are stressing that no positive link has been made between Bilford Junious and the killer. And, they say, there's still a good chance the murders weren't all committed by the same person. All of which means the cops may not be any closer to solving......
