The Houston Business Journal reported that the Texas State Hotel has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently in the building is Club Quarters Hotel, but they weren't mentioned by name in the brief article even though the company applied for the register listing. You only have until Sunday to catch The Heritage Society’s exhibition Houston From Behind the Lens, which premiered during this year’s FotoFest. The exhibition includes many photographs of Houston from the 1920s through the 1990s. It’s a good representation of our progress throughout the last century.
