Happy V.D., kids. We want you to know that we too are sick of hearing about Lurlene's bouquet of Tasmanian orchids. And, yes, we've already puked in the lobby ficus after some jackass in the elevator broadcast the fact that his vapid squeeze du jour, SaNdi (with a heart dot), ventured out in her Hummer to combat the sub-40 degree weather and bring him a half-caff-double-extra-fat super-no-balls cup of mango scented chai crap after their morning wood fest. Houstonist felt you needed a nice pick-me-up to combat your annual V.D. Funk.

After rambling about our upcoming Texas Independence Day Party, we thought it best to spill the beans today in the midst of your Hallmark depression. Nothing slurs screams "I'm not depressed!" like booze and trains. They go together like Lone Starr & Barf P.B. & J as if you didn't know.

The L.R.P.C. will be held on Friday, March 2nd. We're keeping the list of bars on the D.L. for now, but all stops on the crawl are within close proximity to the light rail stations. We'll crank up at Flying Saucer and wander from there. Folks who get the Saucer early will their light rail tickets comped and a brew or two, too. Dedicated individuals who last the duration will get something nice to take home like a Houstonist as well.

So wear your party suit and comfy shoes to work on Friday, March 2nd, then join us for the L.R.P.C. as we wish Texas a happy birthday.
