Now on eBay: A souvenir of this week's weather

011807_ice.jpgDidn't get any ice at your house during the Great Storm of 2007? Well, don't worry: Thanks to eBay, you, too, can own a genuine chunk of naturally formed Houston ice. No kidding.

According to the eBay listing, which you can find here, the chunk of ice was taken from trees and road signs in the Houston area. But there's more: The winner of the auction will also get two fig leaves with ice droplets on them, some genuine 2-plus-inch-long icicles and a "genuine print of a leaf made from ice." The items are being stored in a freezer until the auction ends, but the seller doesn't guarantee they'll reach the buyer in their frozen form — so someone may end up with a couple of fig leaves and some genuine Greater Houston rainwater. That's gotta be worth something, right?

The current bid for the ice is $22, and there's still time to put your bid in: The auction ends at 11:15 p.m. tomorrow. A percentage of the winning bid will be donated to a charity that helps Houston's homeless.
